ABOUT LOOKING GLASS LITERACY
Our goal at Looking Glass Literacy is to help struggling and delayed readers find success and build confidence by giving them the tools needed to bring order out of the seeming chaos of our language. At Looking Glass Literacy, our tutors have received Associate and Certified Level Orton-Gillingham training. Orton-Gillingham instruction is a diagnostic and prescriptive approach to language and considered to be one of the very best evidence-based reading instruction methods. While Orton-Gillingham instruction is particularly designed to help individuals with dyslexia and learning difficulties in language, it is beneficial to every learner through its multisensory, structured, sequential, and systematic approach. We are located just south of Atlanta in Fayetteville, GA, but we offer virtual tutoring sessions to meet you wherever you are.
We begin with an in-depth assessment (usually an hour and a half long) of each of our students and build individualized hour-long sessions from there. For more information, pricing, or general inquiries, get in touch today.
SEEING BEYOND
To what can be
Looking Glass Literacy exists to support learners in their individual journeys to make sense of the language that defines the world around them. Our goal is to help each student step through the barriers they have experienced and into the possibilities that lie beyond them. We believe in meeting each person where he or she is, and planning a targeted path forward to success.
As a parent of two children with language difficulties, I know firsthand the frustration of not seeing the clear path forward to best support their learning needs. Our sincere desire and goal at Looking Glass Literacy is to help each learner find their own way forward.
